Feet that Fit

Feet that Fit

For punishing,

For not fitting in shoes they craft,

For other men;

They chopped off my toes and laughed.
Flesh will heal,
And also nails that have been halved,
They arrogantly said,
And in place of this giant we will graft,
A small big-toe,
A toe that knows its place, that isn’t daft,
But nice and tame,

A toe that nicely fits into shoes we craft,

For all men.

And having said that, again they laughed.
